I've gone through an entire box of Firecrackers in the last 24 hours by myself - and I have a backup box in reserve. I haven't been paying attention to the jokes, though...maybe it'd improve my mood??

Hmmm i'll have to get some popsicles. We have been eating Freeze Pops like they are going out of style. The baby loves them she will try to push the freezer open yelling "Pop" over and over. It gets tiring.

Popsicle sticks have jokes on them? Since when?

I remember running after the popsicle man's three-wheeled truck when I was a kid. I had to run around the block and flag him down before he got in view of our house. We weren't allowed to have popsicles ("sugar water," my mom called them in disgust).

I guess I must have wolfed them down so fast I never even noticed the joke.

My favorite flavor was banana. I think I'd puke if I had to eat a banana popsicle now, though. I love helados, though. In Chicago helado vendors with pushcarts were everywhere!

Yes! The carts with mango popsicles. Julie's Mandarin Orange Sorbet Bars are the grown-up version. As well as my new favorite kick, Italian Sodas. YUM. I never eat this much sugar but LAWD I gotta have it!

Um, does anyone know if anywhere has air conditioners back in? Anyone have a favorite air conditioned coffee shop (not Starbucks) where it's not too crowded and you can work for hours on end?

Not that I can work. This heat has FRIED my brain. I stared at the computer for like an hour today. And nothing.

Heh. Damn. Y'all even have cooler popsicles than we - where have those been all my (Midwestern) life?
