Those little things that just get my panties in a bunch

First in an on-going series...
Blogging headlines that really just need to end now: riffs on "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" Really. Please. Stop. Now. It's an old worn-out overused riff, and it's time for it to just have a break. A break of about 45 years please. What is with this phrase? I see it in blogs, in publication headlines, blah blah blah: it just needs to stop.

You know what gets MY panties in a bunch???
When my daughters come home from school wearing The Ten Commandments Dog tags that they received from their father's girlfriend.
I can't vent about it on my own blog, (that would give him far too much satisfaction,) so I thought I would vent on YOURS.
Thanks LeLo.

BTW, Did you get my e-mail??

So when does the phrase "just get my panties in a bunch" make your list? Would you consider adding it even if a man used it?

Oh Geoff. Touche, touche. But seriously....if I'm using the phrase it can't be overdone or irritating. Duh!

RSG, how and where the Ten Commandments joined the brand of dog tags is really unknown to me. But it's horrifying. I'd be pissed.

Toady Joe, we haven't done a podcast in eons. Your prompting may just be the reason we need to fire up the microphone and put Garage Band to work with a little spanglish and perhaps a special February podcast....

Psst, Geoff..."just get my panties in a bunch"...translates to "I'm fucking pissed off, and you would be wise not to cross me"

Hee. Only now I'm thinking about panties, and that's never a good thing...
Completely changing the topic, did you check out Encanto on Lombard yet?

Recovering Straight Girl, my sympathies!!!

Oh, and LeLo, what will I do when I talk about the National Zoo's lion and tiger and panda cubs? ;-)

I just got done reading a post by a pastor who is "questioning" his sexuality and Lions... is the title of the post. It wasn't the title that got on my nerves as much as the content but now that you bring it up, the title gets on my nerves as well!

Syd-thanks for the translation services.
Cher-yes, I have been to Encanto. You? Are you in the hood now?!
CrackerLilo-I know how good of a writer you are and I'm sure you can come up with a much better option for when you write about those critters.
Jon-Marc-Again, congratulations on your pending nuptials: another married gay makes me happy. The pastor sounds confused, and definitely is gay if he's using that as a lead in. Let go, let god.

I couldn't agree with you more about the Lions and Tigers and Bears thing. And you know that everyone who comes up with a variation on that theme things they're being insanely clever.
