Yes, we had a birthday party for our dog

If you thought I was kidding about a birthday party for Wink, well, you were wrong. We really did. It was all about her friends...
Duncan came to the party

And of course there was Winston

Lucy came, too

There was a piƱata
i love my pinata!
And cake (tres leches, of course)
wink on her cake
And attempts at a group photo
attempt at a photoshoot
And times when the birthday girl got bashful
all this excitement
But all in all, it was very sweet. And a very nice donation has been made to the Oregon Humane Society.

One of the best parties I've ever atteded was a dog party thrown by my mom. After hanging out with you last week I'd attend any party you threw, canine or otherwise.
Sounds fun!

The cake is fantastic! And I would totally have a party for my doggie. Her birthday is this week. We always get her a doggie cake, but never one as cute as yours.

Happy Birthday Wink!

Zip n tizzy; Ah, how nice! If you ever find yourself in Portland, Oregon, I'll throw you a party! Wink will be there, too.

Sassyfemme; Thanks!

Lewis: What an eye you have Lewis. ;)

Maggie: They were fun to take photos of... And thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Fleur de lisa: The cake was a total fluke. It was already premade and looked just like that. No order or planning involved. Just good luck!

No invite for Gus?

We probably couldn't have made it, but now he feels all left out and lonely. Look, he's crying into his waterdish...

so...who made the gorgeous cake?

LeLo said...

Syd: Ha! I expected at least the C word from you. ;)

Pagent: Oh, man. Now Wink feels guilty.

Audrey: Thanks!

Anonymous: The cake was a tres leches, coconut cake from Santa Cruz Panaderea in downtown St. Johns. It was really good: not too sweet.

Good for you guys! Good for Wink and her friends!
We just had a 1-year party for my dog Walter and her nine puppies, and it was a very joyful occasion. Instead of a "cake" we had ten individual cans of Mighty Dog with candles.

Dogs (and cats) are love!

Those are some excellent doggie portraits. Looks like they all enjoyed themselves immensely.

So what was in the pinata? Doggie treats I hope.
