This is primarily our witch hazel. It has giant purple blooms. See them? Okay, okay. The giant purple blooms are from the clematis I planted at its base, to scramble up through the hazel, and do this wonderful surprise bloom thing. Who has ever seen a purple flowering witch hazel? Not I, not I. Magic.

LOVE your garden scenes! Just beautiful...and yes, I totally agree that it's hard to blog when you rather spend time in the garden. My posts have suffered the last month, but my plants are looking great. :}
