I agree that they have a Suess...</title><content type='html'>Aliums are pretty.  I agree that they have a Suess-like quality.  Last year we had &lt;a href="http://pixelpearls.blogspot.com/2008/10/garden-home.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;accidental alium blossoms&lt;/a&gt; in the garden when we let some of our onions go to seed.  Those sturdy stalks topped by huge flowering globes couldn&amp;#39;t help but make me smile.  I suppose they might be described as rather rustic flowers but they were fun. Unfortunately their are still few enough in that spot that the dogs still tramp through it and the stalks get bent easily.
