But here's what my summer is tasting like...

A simple cheese plate, piled with fresh fromage blanc, drizzled with acacia honey, covered in lemon zest, and dappled with tropicana thyme fresh from the garden. Tropicana thyme? Essence of citrus and pineapple is embedded in this thyme, and now I know why I grow it. This platter was put out at a party, I turned my back, and it was gone.
I hope summer sticks around longer than that plate did...

I love fresh summer tomatoes and love chewing my own mint leaves! But for me, it will always be granitas and mojitos.
That cheese plate looks so good! *tries to grab through screen*
I concur! Your photos are always sublime... summer tastes like grilled chicken in a lemon/cumin/garlic/chile powder marinade... pulled into chunks & wrapped in soft hot corn tortillas with pico de gallo.
Hear, hear. You take some of the best food photos I've ever seen. Can you get a gig as a food stylist? Or at least the North Portland version of Martha Stewart? I don't think she even knows how to can.
YUM.
It looks and sounds delicious. I think I'll try it at our next Praise Cheeses dinner!
Can I ask a dumb question: what's acacia honey?
Looks delicious. Ever been to the Leach Botanical Gardens out Foster way? Amazing honey. Very unique flavor.

Hi! Your fromage blanc looks wicked good! Is this the same as "farmer's cheese"? What brand is it? i would so love to try this recipe. Being from Idaho, probably not going to happen. If I inquired about fromage blanc in the local store I might appear to some as dropping from outer space.
your cheese plate makes my heart flutter!
