The most over-used blog post title ever

***Just a wee little public service announcement.***
When determining the title or headline for your blog post, avoid doing this.
Or this.
Or this.
Or this.
Or this.
I'll stop there.
I don't know what it is, but it bugs the crap out of me. Sue me.

This doesn't count: it involved real bears, thus, is totally applicable.

I was about to immediately agree with you, but then had to stop and check my archives to make sure my past is clean of sin. Thankfully, I'm a better blogger than I remember.

Judy Garland rolls over in her grave every time that gets written.

300% in agreement with you there.

Now I have a disclaimer, I didn't check my archives. I may well have done this. But when you line them all up in a gallery it's obvious how tired it is, and if I've done it in the past, I swear never to do it again.

You know, I had to check my archives too. I certainly mean nothing personal to any of the writers of these, and I guess the only reason why I notice them so much is because I don't read those headlines like text. It's a sing song in my head with them because of their riff. And there is absolutely no other headline that makes me do that, that's for sure!

I'm too lazy to check my archives, but I'll keep it in mind.

Oh, damn. I need to write a post about my daughter's performance at Washington Park this Saturday.

*That* type of headline was totally appropriate - and now, I am way too self-conscious to use it.

What play is she in? Why, the Wizard of Oz, of course...although she is playing neither a lion, a tiger or a bear.

It certainly appears tired and not original. My best guess is laziness. I too, got lazy.
My Friday, March 18, 2005 post (not headline) read
Amy emailed 3 more things. Her adventures involve bees, guns and jail. Oh my!
