Another farmer's market coming to North Portland?

Huge radishes!
Sounds like there's some organizing for a Farmer's Market in the St. Johns area, which could serve this whole end of the North Portland peninsula. Very exciting, I think. What about you? Weigh in and provide feedback and ideas over at our Commissioner Cogen's blog. Yeah!-both for the idea and time commitment people may be putting in to making this happen (lots o' work!), and for our Commissioner having a blog for community dialogue.

Fabulous! I like the one at Overlook, but there isn't much variety. I'd like a meatier (big vegan style, of course) option. I hope St. John's has more booths. I'll go post on Commissioner Cogen's blog now.

Oh! St. John's. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better to live here. On my way to comment at Cogen's blog.

I hope it comes to fruition for you! We have a farmers market about two miles from our house and we are so lucky! I love it!

Funny, I just read an article in Bon Apetit on a couple who only buys their food from a small radius in distance around their home. Only local.

This is so exciting! Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
And I did go and put in my two cents.
