Ain't that the truth!

That would make such a great poster in a library.

I adored my encyclopedias as a child. Almost daily I'd pick one up and page through it. Somehow Google just isn't the same thing.

The days of pouring through books in search of information are probably gone. Sad. Staring at a computer screen just isn't the same thing.

My sister and I shared a set of navy blue World Book Encyclopedias. Several times in the past year, my mom has asked what she should do with them. I don't have the heart to tell her that I don't want them. My folks spent a small fortune so Jodi and I would have a reference tool at our immediate disposal.

In addition to a more "up-to-date" set of encyclopedias (early '70s?), I had a set of my dad's from the '50s. Wish I had those today - it would be great to look up topics and see how much they have changed!
