Stop, look and listen
Sometimes it can feel like a wonderful whirlwind. So much to see, do, experience, learn. It’s easy to get over stimulated and miss things. I continue to learn to stop for a moment and really see. Stop and look a little closer, a little deeper, a little beyond. Look for those special vistas built into life for us to find. They’re there, oh, they’re there. But it’s up to us to stop and see them.
Today I’m using my eye to see a little further, a little deeper and a little beyond. Sometimes it’s not just my eyes to see, but my heart, my inner voice and self. It’s a good day.

This is one of the best things about gardening, it opens your eyes to so many wonderful things if you just take the time to see them.
what a great shot. i love how doorways frame things. and the differences in light are so dramatic. i am just now going to listen to your radio show from last friday. as i tidy up.
That really is a captivating photo. Love it.
i loved the radio show. and i blogged about it.
i like marissa's passion.
it was a great discussion.
oh ... i love the comment on the show about Adri bring all of the coffee grounds home, and the little mimic voice that says something about it being free.
Danger-Thank you! You are absolutely right about gardening opening your eyes. I'm totally with you.
Marie-Good eye about the light: it was a beautiful little nook at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and it would have been so easy to walk right by and not have seen this view. And good ear about hearing the "but it's free!" comment. You're good!
getting ready to "see" if i can hear the show live today. sending good energy your way. happy wishes to calm the nerves.
i heard the show live. loved it. and listened to another show after. about a man who wrote of book about his experiences of being raised in foster care. very tender. i like that station.
Thank you for the lovely reminder to slow down! I'm enjoying your blog; very inspiring as I slooowwwly get my garden together. :)
