Who would you rather do?

Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton?
Just kidding. Kidding on the question part.

But if you're like me, you've heard and answered this question in the past 6 months: Who do you think has a better chance of winning if they run for president on the Democratic ticket? I've been going back and forth on this. I adore Hillary but does the rest of America? I get the feeling a huge contingent of people despise her. The question comes down to, is America ready for a president of color, or for a woman president? Or neither?

Oh, and tack on this interesting note. A friend recently noted among her conversations on this topic, people of color think America is ready for a woman president, and white folks think America is more ready for a president of color. Go figure.

I honestly don't think that I will see either of those in my lifetime.

I posted an article last week about how the better looking candidate usually wins. We are that shallow.

I think Barack has a better chance. I think people want a change, some new blood in the White House.

Setting my conservatism aside, I don't think either is a good choice. I would, however, welcome a good female or minority candidate.

Sadly, I can't think of a good candidate. period.

I don't think the conservatives want to see the name Clinton in the White House therefore I'd have to go with Obama. Personally, I fall into your friend's demographic, I like Obama.

I think America needs a purpletwinkie for President.

Between the two, I'd pick Obama. Will he win? I don't know. But I sure hope he runs!

i love the fact that people are having serious dialogue about either but hopefully we will put our voting fingers where our mouths are :)
