Things I love about my mother

IMG_5942.JPG
Her humor and ability to laugh at just about anything
Keen eye
Determination
List making skills
Schedule making skills
Creativity and ability to see things in a certain creative light
Love of little children: it transforms her into a whole different person
Sarcasm: I know few people with her level of sarcasm. It blows off the sarcasm charts.
Love of friends
Love of art
Love of nature
Love of books and crosswords
Ability to figure things out
Task monger
Her moods and emotions

I realize so many of the things I identify in my mother are things I identify in myself. I think that’s a good thing.

Happy birthday mom. I wish I was there to give you a big birthday hug.
Love,
Your Middle Child and Second Daughter

P.S. I also really love that her name rhymes with Fartsy.

Dear Lelo, You forgot Epicurious! I have prepared 4 new recipes this week thanks to Epicurious. I have always been intimitated by your father's three sisters' 4-H blue ribbons but now, thanks to the internet (love the reviews) I have confidence to try new dishes! Let's face it, it's collllld and I need to cook soup. My requirements are fresh ingredients and lots of herbs. If nothing else, it makes the house smell good. My only regret is that I don't have you here to unload the clean dishes from the dishwasher.
Hugs, Mom

Uh, Mrs. LeLo's Mom, could you post some of those recipes? Anything with "lots of herbs" is a big hit with me. :)

Okay, so like I've been through the entire alphabet and nothing rhymes with Fartsy.

Tartsy?
Hartsy?

Is this like the Seinfeld episode where the girls name rhymed with a female body part?

Mulva?

Happy Birthday to Mom..whatever her name may be.

This was a lovely list.

Really.

LOL, blogzie! I was doing the same thing (and I thought of that Seinfeld episode, too).

What a lovely tribute to your mom, Lelo. Happy B-day, lelomama.
